I'm Jimmy Nguyen,
a Data Scientist & Engineer

I taught myself to code at 9 and have been building ever since, starting with games and web apps and moving into data. Over 17 years that path has led me to data engineering, where I build and optimize pipelines and apply AI to make existing workflows faster and smarter.

I started at a startup, where I built the entire data operation myself and scaled it from city-level coverage to the whole country. As the team grew, I became its Data Team Lead, turning stakeholder needs into delivered data products without losing accuracy.

That scaling mindset carried into federal consulting, where I now lead data engineering efforts as an Associate Manager. I modernize how data moves, from automating pipelines to applying AI that speeds up the team's work. Next, I want to take on more complex data challenges, especially ones that improve the public services people rely on.
